The most interesting expression of the day

a stubborn unwillingness to give up

It seems interesting for me, why? An unwillingness might be dogmatic :)

  1. Expression (spelling)

a stubborn unwillingness to give up sounds like one of my expressions, and if so it is an example of British wordplay. It is describing a positive virtue (tenacity) in negative terms (stubborn, unwilling), for humourous effect. You have to watch the British: we never say exactly what we mean!
